The National Association of Development Companies - NADCO is the trade association of SBA Certified Development Companies (CDCs), like Southern Development Council, and other lenders delivering SBA loans and financing for small businesses.
NADCO was founded in 1981 as a 501(c)(6) corporation chartered in the District of Columbia. NADCO’s mission is to lead CDCs to ensure that small businesses of all types and in all communities have access to affordable capital and services that promote economic growth.
This past November (2022), NADCO hosted a conference called “NOW ‘22,” in Denver, CO in which SDC’s team as well as many other SBA lenders across the U.S. travelled to attend. The NOW ‘22 Conference provided an opportunity for SBA Lenders of all sorts to attend general sessions that included updates from Washington D.C., Loan Process updates and proposed updates, and live Q&As allowing the attendees to ask the leaders of NADCO, SBA, and the SLPC Center important questions. NADCO also had breakout sessions specific to the attendees’ roles within their organization that allowed them to perfect their craft, but also ask questions and provide insights to other attendees in the same roles. The conference also allowed the SBA Lenders to connect and network with each other through breakfasts, luncheons, and after hour social events/dinner.
SDC thoroughly enjoyed attending NADCO’s NOW ’22 Conference this past year and our team looks forward to attending the 2023 conference this Fall.
If you’d like to learn more about NADCO or the SBA 504 Loan Program, please reach out to us at SDC. We look forward to helping your small business grow.
